Hope your enjoying the summer!

The summer wasted no time on becoming busy and hot!

I think everyone is glad that it "cooled down" to the 90's.

Several Independence Day celebrations were recently held in Cherokee County and they all seemed to be well attended, despite the heat.  It's great to see everyone out celebrating our nations Independence, and joining together to honor our military men and women, past and present.

And there is still a lot of events scheduled this month.

There will be rodeos, the county fair and the four state farm show, to name a few.

These local events take a lot of planning and hard work from organizers, typically volunteers, and I hope many of you will come out and enjoy what they have put together for you.

Stay safe, keep cool and enjoy the Kansas summertime!
