Raid Lands Four in Jail

Just after 11:00 a.m. on Friday, April 15, 2011, the Southeast Kansas Drug Enforcement Task Force and the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office executed a narcotics related search warrant at 711 West Main in Weir, Kansas.
During the course of the search, investigators discovered a suspected methamphetamine lab, along with other items consistent with illegal drug activity.
Mickey Bunce, 43, of Weir is being held in the Cherokee County Jail in lieu of $100,000.00 bond on suspicion of Manufacturing Methamphetamine, Possession of Precursor Chemicals with Intent to Manufacture Methamphetamine, Possession of Methamphetamine, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
Michael Barton, 35, and Angela Jameson, 39, both also of Weir, are incarcerated in the Cherokee County Jail in lieu of $50,000.00 bond each, on suspicion of Manufacturing Methamphetamine, Possessing Precursor Chemicals with Intent to Manufacture Methamphetamine, Possession of Methamphetamine and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
Also arrested was 23-year-old Cassie James, of Pittsburg. James is being held in the Cherokee County Jail on suspicion of two counts of Aggravated Child Endangerment. James’ bond is set at $7,500.00
Two juvenile children, who were at the scene, were placed into police protective custody.
