Cynthia Evans

On Tuesday afternoon, at approximately 4:30 p.m., as part of an ongoing investigation into the unlawful manufacturing of methamphetamine in the Baxter Springs area, Cherokee County Sheriff's Office narcotics investigators located and interviewed 29 year-old Cynthia Evans of Columbus.

As a result of that interview, and additional information and evidence obtained during the course of this investigation, Evans was taken into custody on allegations of Conspiracy to Manufacture Methamphetamine, Possession of Marijuana, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Obstruction of Justice and is also being held on an outstanding warrant for her arrest for Failure to Appear in Court from Pittsburg, Kansas.

This same investigation has resulted in five other arrests since July 1^st and additional arrests are anticipated.
