Four Arrested in Weir Raid

The Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office has been investigating several recent residential burglaries in the Weir area.
Just prior to 11:00 p.m. on October 16, 2013, the Sheriff’s Office, along with the Weir Police Department, executed a search warrant at 312 West Oak in Weir.
During the course of that search, investigators discovered suspected stolen property, methamphetamine, marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
Arrested as part of this ongoing investigation were:
Latrista Messer, 29, of the home, was booked into the Cherokee County Jail on allegations of Felony Possession of Stolen Property and Driving While Suspended. She posted $4,000.00 bond and was released on Thursday afternoon.
Jaymes Brazda, 36, of the home, was arrested on allegations of Possessing Stolen Property, Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of Marijuana and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. He remains in custody in lieu of $11,000.00 bond.
Blaze Swank, 20, of Scammon, is being held on allegations of Possessing Stolen Property, Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of Marijuana and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. His bond is also $11,000.00.
Jonathan Miller, 33, of Baxter Springs remains in custody in lieu of $11,000.00 bond on allegations of Possessing Stolen Property, Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of Marijuana and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
This investigation remains ongoing and law enforcement anticipates additional charges as the case continues to develop.
