Woman Arrested For Meth Sales

Just after 5:00 p.m., on Wednesday, April 23, 2014, the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office and the Southeast Kansas Drug Enforcement Task Force executed a search warrant at the home located at 217 Lily Place, in Galena.
Dee Dee “Kay” Phillips, 48, of the home, was arrested at the scene.
Phillips was taken into custody following a two month investigation by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office where she is alleged to have sold methamphetamine on multiple occasions.
In addition to the distribution, during the course of the search, investigators located suspected methamphetamine, marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
She is currently being held in the Cherokee County Jail in lieu of $14,000.00 bond on suspicion of Distribution of Methamphetamine, Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of Marijuana and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
Formal charges are expected to be filed later this week.
