Monday Morning Raid Lands 3 In Jail

Methamphetamine and marijuana were seized Monday morning following an investigation by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office.

Around 9:00 a.m., sheriff’s office investigators and the Galena Police Department executed a search warrant at 217 Lily Place in Galena where detectives discovered multiple baggies containing suspected methamphetamine, which appeared to have been packaged for distribution, along with marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

The following suspects were taken into custody and transported to the Cherokee County Jail:

• Dee Dee Kay Phillips, 50 of the home, Possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute, possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.   Phillips posted $14,500.00 bond and was released.

• Christopher Adams, 32, Galena, Outstanding Warrant issued by Galena City Court for failing to appear in court, Possession of Marijuana and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.  He has no bond and remains in jail.

• Carla Pangburn, 45, of the home, Possession of Marijuana and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.  Pangburn posted $4,000.00 bond and was released.

All suspects in criminal cases should be considered innocent until proven guilty.
