Sobriety Checkpoint Scheduled for Labor Day Weekend

The Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office, Baxter Springs Police Department and the Kansas Highway Patrol will be joining forces on Saturday, September 3rd, 2016, to remove impaired drivers from the roadway, as they conduct a sobriety check point on U.S. Highway 166, in Baxter Springs.

Motorists should anticipate being briefly stopped and those suspected of intoxication will be given sobriety tests.  Impaired drivers will be arrested.
