 Baxter Springs Men Jailed After Drug Raid

A month long investigation into suspected drug activity at 120 East 9th Street in Baxter Springs, resulted in a search warrant being executed at the home early Monday morning.

Just after 8:00 a.m., the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office and Baxter Springs Police Department conducted the raid.  While searching the property, investigators discovered suspected methamphetamine, marijuana and drug paraphernalia items, resulting in the arrest of two occupants of the home.

Brian James, 38, and 52 year-old Ronald Fitzgerald, were arrested and transported to the Cherokee County Jail on allegations of Possessing Methamphetamine, Possessing Marijuana and Possessing Drug Paraphernalia.

Both men are being held in in the Cherokee County Jail in lieu of $7,000.00 bond each.
