Francisco Torres

Just before 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 16th, 2024, Cherokee County Deputies were summoned to a Weir residence.

As a result of their investigation, 60 year-old Francisco Torres, of Weir, was taken into custody near the scene.

Torres is suspected of approaching a senior while she was outside her home gardening and attempting to sexually assault her.

He is being held in the Cherokee County Jail on allegations of Criminal Restraint, Assault and Sexual Battery.
